We are delighted to share that Skinners’ Academies Trust has been recognised as one of the most improved multi-academy trusts in England in the latest MAT View -most improved Trusts 2026 report, which provides an analysis of 2025-26 GCSE outcomes.

The report highlights the academy trusts that have achieved the strongest year-on-year improvements in pupil outcomes across their schools.

Skinners Academies Trust was ranked:

  • 7th nationally for improvement in the proportion of students achieving Grade 4+ in English and Mathematics.
  • 6th nationally for improvement in the proportion of students achieving Grade 5+ in English and Mathematics.
  • 4th nationally for improvement in Attainment 8 outcomes.

These results provide welcome external recognition of the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, school leaders and wider communities across the Trust. They also reinforce the positive outcomes achieved by our schools this year and place those improvements within a strong national context.

Ian Anderson, Director of Education comments:

We were already celebrating a strong set of outcomes across our schools this summer, and it is especially pleasing to see that success recognised in a national context. Being identified as one of the country’s most improved trusts highlights the impact of our collective work and the strength of collaboration across our family of schools.

While we remain focused on the opportunities ahead and on continuing to improve outcomes for every student, this recognition is a significant achievement and one that everyone connected with the Trust can be proud of.
