Kate joined The Skinners’ Company in July 2026. She is a governance professional and Chartered Governance Institute graduate with 12 years’ experience in the education and not-for-profit sectors, including more than seven years supporting the boards of multi academy trusts. Immediately prior to joining, she served as Company Secretary and Governance Professional at Oasis Community Learning. Other senior governance roles have included Head of Governance Services at The Green School Trust and Clerk to the Trust Board at Richmond upon Thames School Trust. Kate holds a BA in Modern History from the University of Oxford, an MA from City University London and an MSc with Distinction from the University of Reading. She is a former Department for Education-designated National Leader of Governance.

Kate lives in South West London with her husband and has three sons; one in work, one at university and one at school. In her free time, she loves reading, dog walking and spending time with her family and friends.
