Andrew spent 30 years in the British Army (Parachute Regiment) retiring as a Major General having served worldwide and in five operational theatres.  He attended Sevenoaks School, is a graduate of Keele University, the Army Staff College, Higher Command and Staff Course, the US Higher Command Course and was Deputy Commandant of the Royal College of Defence Studies before retiring a little early to follow other paths.  

He spent three years working as an independent consultant building capacity in the functions of local and national governments in the Middle East.  He also worked with a company specialising in systems integration for communications, command and control facilities and audio-visual displays.   In his spare time he wrote expert witness reports to help injured Service personnel manage the consequences for their employment of combat injuries and training accidents. 

He retains an interest in skydiving (wingsuits), offshore sailing, trout streams and the odd marathon (or maybe just one more!).
